In addition to the film, Imagine Land 2040 is conducting a series of Land Restoration and Climate Education workshops. These workshops cover topics such as AI’s role in climate solutions, desertification, and creative storytelling.

The side event will feature the world premiere of ‘Imagine Land 2040’, an innovative short film created by students of Vanderbilt University's ‘Tomorrow in Focus’ collective and facilitated by G20 Global Land Initiative, hosted at the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.

The first screening will take place on December 9th, 2024. To accommodate additional attendees and continue the discussions around AI, youth engagement, and land restoration, a rerun of the screening and discussion will take place on the evening of December 10th.

She is the India Programme Coordinator, Global Initiative G20 at UNCCD, specializing in environmental law and development communications.

Shaun Karakkattu

Shaun is the Co-founder of AI startup Atlog, focusing on AI-driven climate solutions and youth engagement in environmental issues.

Augustus Boettcher

Gus is an economics and History major at Vanderbilt University, AI film expert, and cofounder of 2301 Production, blending AI and traditional filmmaking.

Following both events, a Q/A session with the panelists about the role of AI in land restoration and the creative process behind the film will take place.
